When to use it

When the landlord, a family member, or a purchaser needs to move into the unit. Must give at least 60 days notice.

What happens next

The tenant has 60 days to vacate. You must pay one month's rent as compensation. If they don't leave, you can file an L2 application.

  • Not paying one month's rent compensation — this voids the notice
  • Using this form when you don't genuinely intend to occupy
  • Wrong termination date — must align with last day of a rental period
